Visual Weld Inspector Level 2
Become a Visual Weld Inspector? In the welding industry, increasing demands are placed on the quality of welding and the accompanying weld inspection. Visual inspection of welds is of great importance. By conducting proper visual examinations for common weld imperfections, problems can be prevented at an early stage. The five-day Visual Weld Inspector course provides insight into all aspects of visually assessing welds and meets all the requirements of EN 473 / ISO 9712.
Objectives of the Visual Weld Inspector course
To enhance knowledge in the field of visual inspection of welded components. Through additional theoretical and practical knowledge, participants will be able to independently assess welds after completing the course. Individuals certified at level 2 have demonstrated the competence to perform and evaluate visual inspections according to established and recognized procedures.
Target audience
The course is intended for welding operators, supervisory personnel, QA/QC staff, and inspectors who want to gain a better understanding of visual inspection of welds. Prerequisite knowledge includes a good command of the Dutch language and affinity with welding, which will be assessed by TSH through an intake process.

Duration of the course
The course has a duration of 5 days, followed by a half-day examination. The course starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. The next start date is January 17, 2020, in Emmen or January 22, 2020, in Drachten.
Certificate
The course concludes with a theoretical and practical examination under the supervision and accountability of DNV Certification B.V. The certificate is accredited by the Accreditation Council in accordance with ISO-17024.
Training location
