During the visit, the subcontractor was informed about the deficiencies and a recovery plan was devised. In order to support subcontractors of the Dutch wind turbine manufacturer outside the EU in the future for wind turbine manufacturing, the welding quality assurance, based on European standards, has been converted to AWS D1.1 specifications. This has made it easier to outsource manufacturing activities outside the EU.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content-slider js-content-slider p-relative mb-0\"><div class=\"slick-inner\"><div class=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/weldmij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Directwind-Case-groot-2.jpg\"\/><\/div><div class=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/weldmij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Directwind-Case-groot.jpg\"\/><\/div><\/div><div class=\"row mx-0 w-100 js-content-slider-arrows mb-4\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>The production of a 2MW wind turbine has been outsourced to Brazil as a compensation obligation. In the Netherlands, it has been observed that they are facing welding and inspection challenges in Brazil, causing project delays.
